Hon. Rohitha Abeygunawardhana,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) number of Depots that belong to the Sri Lanka Transport Board;
(ii) Depots that make profits and the Depots that incur losses out of those referred to above, separately;
(iii) measures to be adopted in regard to the Depots that incur losses;
(iv) number of buses owned by the Board;
(v) number of those buses that are currently deployed in running operations and the number of buses that have been removed from the fleet out of the number of buses referred to above, separately;
(vi) reasons for removing the buses from the fleet; and
(vii) total number of employees of the Sri Lanka Transport Board?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the —
(i) number of railway stations in Sri Lanka;
(ii) number of trains that are currently deployed in running operations and the number of trains that have been removed from the fleet, separately;
(iii) reasons for removing trains from the fleet;
(iv) number of new trains that are currently deployed in running operations;
(v) total number of employees of the Department of Railways; and
(vi) number of casual employees and the number of permanent employees of that Department, separately?
(c) If not, why?
