Hon. Ajantha Gammeddage,— To ask the Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the names of the districts in which cinnamon is cultivated in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the total area of land under cinnamon cultivation in Sri Lanka;
(iii) of the names of the government institutions that have been established for the development of cinnamon cultivation;
(iv) of the names of the institutions that have been established in the Galle District, out of them;
(v) of the amount of money that has been spent on establishing those institutions;
(vi) whether those institutions are currently in operational status; and
(vii) if not, of the reasons for it?
(b) If not, why?
