Hon. Manjula Sugath Rathnayaka,—To ask the Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing,— (1)
(a) Will he state—
(i) whether he is aware that the National Housing Development Authority has not acquired the lands of the Punasthapana, Digamadulu Jana Udana and Namal Uyana, Dighayugama and Loka Janawasa Dayapura Housing Projects implemented in 1997, 1999, 2002 and 2006 respectively in the Ampara Divisional Secretariat Division and granting deeds to the respective beneficiaries;
(ii) the reasons for not forwarding the land acquisition requests to Ampara Divisional Secretary through the Ministry still, although the land recipients of Punasthapana, Digamadulu Jana Udana and Loka Janawasa Housing Projects, have collected money, surveyed lands and submitted relevant reports to the Authority; and
(iii) the time taken to forward the request for the acquisition of those lands to the Ampara Divisional Secretary through the Secretary to the Ministry?
(b) Will he also state—
(i) whether there are any other housing projects in the Ampara District where deeds have not yet been given to beneficiaries than those mentioned above;
(ii) if so, their names; and
(iii) the reasons for the delay in granting those deeds?
(c) If not, why?
