Hon. Nishantha Perera,—To ask the Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether the Tea Smallholdings Development Authority and the Sri Lanka Tea Board granted assistance for running tea nurseries within the Galle District in 2022 and 2023;
(ii) if so, of the number of tea nurseries so assisted by the Tea Smallholdings Development Authority and the Sri Lanka Tea Board, the names of the recipients of such assistance, amount of such assistance, and the registration number of each such tea nursery in each DS Division, separately; and
(iii) of the names of those out of the recipients referred to above who maintain tea nurseries at present and those who do not, separately?
(b) If not, why?
