Hon. M. T. Hasen Ali,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) Mrs. S.H.M. Fathima residing at Siyambalagaskotuwa, Kahatagahamada of Kurunegala District has been serving at Giri/Dalupothagama Kanishta Vidyalaya as a volunteer teacher with effect from 01.02.2002; and
(ii) eventhough Mrs. Fathima who was entitled to get an appointment as a teacher assistant accordingly, was summoned under Ref. No.11 by the letter bearing No. NW/SCM/B13/3/4 and dated 17.08.2009 of the Secretary to the Chief Minister and the Minister of Education of the North Western Province to award the aforesaid letter of appointment, the aforesaid teacher assistant appointment has not been granted up to now ?
(b) Will he state whether steps will be taken to grant the teacher assistant appointment that Mrs. Fathima is entitled to, to be effective from August 2009 ?
(c) If not, why?
