Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the Abhimanagama housing scheme is located in the Walliwala-West Grama Niladhari Division in the Weligama Divisional Secretary’s Division in the Matara District ;
(ii) a land close to the Abhimanagama housing scheme in Weligama was declared as one of the first urban sanctuaries in 1985 ; and
(iii) arrangements have been made by way of an advertisement published in the Dinamina Newspaper of 23rd May 2012 to sell that land with the sanctuary?
(b) Will he inform this House of the reasons led to the sale of this land?
(c) If not, why ?
