Hon. Sunil Handunnetti,— To ask the Minister of Higher Education,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) whether a decision has been taken to allocate a part of the land in which the Institute of Indigenous Medicine is located to a private company for business purposes;
(ii) if so, the name of the said private company;
(iii) the business purpose for which the above mentioned land is requested for by the said company;
(iv) if the above mentioned land is handed over to the said private company, the conditions attached; and
(v) the prices for which the relevant land is handed over to the said company ?
(b) Will he admit that—
(i) the above mentioned property belongs to the Institute of Indigenous Medicine; and
(ii) even within the premises of the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, the issue is that a sufficient space is not available?
(c) If not, why?
