Hon. (Mrs.) Anoma Gamage,— To ask the Minister of Education Services,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the amount spent by the government on the programme to provide a free mid-day meal to school children, within the last 5 years;
(ii) of the persons who make decisions regarding the meal provided to the children;
(iii) whether a follow up is done to check proper implementation of the instructions given with relevance to the provision of meals;and
(iv) if so, by whom it is done?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether he admits that the programme to provide free mid-day meal to school children is being implemented at a satisfactory level; and
(ii) if so, the reasons for such admission?
(c) If not, why?
