      Hon. P. Harrison,— To ask the Minister of Disaster Management,—

      (a) Will he inform this House of—

      (i) the number of families that were affected by the floods which occurred in Wilachchiya Divisional Secretariat Division of the Anuradhapura District during the period from December 2012 to January 2013;

      (ii) the number of houses in the aforesaid Division for which compensation was paid for been either completely destroyed or partly damaged due to the aforesaid floods; and

      (iii) the number of houses in the aforesaid Division that were either completely destroyed or partly damaged due to the aforesaid floods, but compensation has not been paid for?

      (b) Will he also inform this House —

      (i) of the types of cultivations that were destroyed due to the aforesaid floods in the aforesaid Divisional Secretariat Division;

      (ii) of the area of cultivated lands that were destroyed due to the aforesaid floods;

      (iii) separately, of the acreage of paddy lands that were completely destroyed and those that were partly damaged;

      (iv) of the acreage of lands that had been cultivated with other crops and that were completely destroyed due to the aforesaid floods;

      (v) separately of the amount of the compensation that is paid for an acre of paddy land that was completely destroyed and for an acre that was partly damaged;

      (vi) whether compensation has been paid for lands with other supplementary crops that were either completely damaged or partly destroyed;

      (vii) if so, separately of the amounts of compensation that has been paid in the aforesaid manner; and

      (viii) if compensation is not paid in the aforesaid manner, of the reasons for not paying compensation?

      (c) If not, why?
