Hon. Manusha Nanayakkara,— To ask the Minister of Coconut Development and Janatha Estate Development,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) whether the Ministry of Coconut Development and Janatha Estate Development has built up international relationships with the other coconut cultivating countries with regard to the development of the coconut industry in Sri Lanka;
(ii) if so, the names of the countries with which such relationships have been built up;
(iii) whether memoranda of understanding have been entered into with each of the aforesaid countries ; and
(iv) whether the manner in which the aforesaid MoUs will bring about an effect on the coconut industry in Sri Lanka will be explained briefly ?
(b) If not, why?
