      Hon.Sujeewa Senasinghe,— To ask the Minister of Highways, Ports and           Shipping,—

      (a) Will he inform this House—

      (i) whether there is a barge in the Hambanthota harbour; and

      (ii) of the number of cranes fixed for container handling in it?

      (b) Will he state—

      (i) the number of ships that have arrived at Hambanthota harbour only to obtain fuel on their way to other destinations; and

      (ii) whether there are about 5000 permanent workers serving in the Hambanthota harbour as mentioned  by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority?

      (c) If not, why?
