Hon. (Mrs.) Anoma Gamage,— To ask the Minister of National Heritage,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the students of Ambagasdowa Sri Sumanajothi Vidyalaya of Welimada visited the National Museum in Colombo on 26th March 2013;
(ii) they faced an accident as a result of the collapse of the staircase of the museum; and
(iii) school children and teachers suffered injuries as a result of that accident?
(b) Will he state—
(i) separately, the number of students, teachers and adults who were injured in that accident;
(ii) the current condition of those children and teachers injured in that accident;
(iii) the measures taken by the government for those children injured in the said accident;
(iv) whether an inquiry has been made regarding the disruption caused to the education of those children involved in that accident and whether remedial measures have been taken; and
(v) the manner in which the government has paid attention to alleviate the difficulties faced by the families of those involved in that accident whose livelihood is farming?
(c) If not, why?
