Hon. Tissa Attanayake,— To ask the Minister of Mass Media and Information,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the position of the Government Printer is vacant ;
(ii) if so, whether an officer has been appointed to cover the duties of the aforesaid position at present; and
(iii) of the education and professional qualifications of that officer?
(b) Will he admit that—
(i) the aforesaid officer has not fulfilled the qualifications required for the position of Government Printer;
(ii) that a junior officer of the institution who does not possess full qualifications has been appointed to the above position; and
(iii) four senior staff officers who have the qualifications required for the aforesaid position are employed at the institution even at present?
(c) If so, will he inform this House of the action that will be taken to rectify the above situation?
(d) If not, why?
