Hon. (Mrs.) Anoma Gamage,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House of—
(i) the number of Colleges of Education functioning in this country, separately in terms of each subject; and
(ii) the number of students studying in each College of Education in the year 2013, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) of the names and qualifications of the Presidents serving at the Colleges of Education;
(ii) of the minimum qualifications required to hold the post of the President of a College of Education;
(iii) whether there is a shortage of lecturers at those Colleges of Education; and
(iv) if so, the Colleges of Education and the subjects with relevance to which the shortage of lecturers exists?
(c) If not, why?
