Hon. Mohamed Aslam,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that Mr. N.P.M. Thawfeer residing at No.122, Kulugammana, Kandy, has submitted a written request on 01.03.2008 to retire from service, while he was holding the post of Deputy Principal (Grade II, Principals’ Service) of K/W/Al Hikma Muslim Maha Vidyalaya which belongs to Wattegama Educational Zone?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the reasons for the delaying the retirement of Mr. Thawfeer who has completed 60 years of age on 30.05.2011; and
(ii) whether steps will be taken immediately to send that gentleman on retirement, considering his satisfactory service of three decades from 03.10.1971, his date of first appointment?
(c) If not, why?
