Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of medical centres registered in Sri Lanka under the names of doctors; and
(ii) the number of full time and part time registered centres separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) the date on which the last census was carried out regarding the number of private medical centres belonging to the doctors;
(ii) whether steps will be taken to conduct census once again; and
(iii) if so, of the date on which it will be done?
(c) Will he further inform this House—
(i) the legal measures that can be taken against maintaining a private medical centre without a registration certificate;
(ii) the legal measures that were taken against unregistered private medical centres during last two years; and
(iii) the names of doctors who owned unregistered private medical centres and the punishment given to them separately?
(d) If not, why?
