Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs,—
(a) Will he table—
(i) the area of forest land belongs to the Department of Forest Conservation;
(ii) the names of those forests; and
(iii) the extent of each forest in acres separately;
(b) Will he inform this House;
(i) whether the boundaries of the aforesaid forests have been demarcated;
(ii) if so, the date of demarcation of boundaries was carried out;
(iii) if not, whether measures will be taken to demarcate the boundaries; and
(iv) if so, the date?
(c) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether houses, hotels related to tourism industry or other constructions are in the forests mentioned in a (ii) above;
(ii) if so, whether a study has been carried out on the impact caused to the forest due to the aforesaid constructions?
(d) If not, why?
