Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware—
(i) that the approval has been given by the Public Service Commission with pertinence to re-employ the retired officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service on contract basis with effect from 15.06.2015; and
(ii) that as per the above approval, all the relevant parties have been instructed by the Secretary to the Ministry of Education through letter Number ED/4/58/16/01/04 dated 17.07.2015 to re-employ the retired officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the names of the retired officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service who have applied for the vacancies prevalent in the Department of Education of the Southern Province as at 01st September 2015; and
(ii) of the date on which they will be formally re-employed?
(c) If not, why?
