Hon. Udaya Prabhath Gammanpila,— To ask the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the government is engaged in discussions with India to sign an Indo-Lanka Economic and Technological Partnership Agreement;
(ii) when the said agreement is expected to be signed;
(iii) of the manner in which the said agreement differs from the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement known as “CEPA”; and
(iv) whether the content of the said agreement will be discussed with Members of Parliament, scholars, professionals and the business community prior to its signing?
(b) If not, why?
