      Hon. Udaya Prabhath Gammanpila,— To ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs,—

      (a) Is he aware that a team of delegates including a Member of Parliament from the Tamil National Alliance who met with the Hon. Julie Bishop, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Australia on or around 10th November 2015 had made a request to the effect that Australian Judges be sent to serve in the War Crimes Court to be established in Sri Lanka?

      (b) Will he inform this House—

      (i) whether certain executive positions of the government are held by the aforesaid team of delegates;

      (ii) whether the aforesaid team has been appointed as special ambassadors or representatives of the President;  and

      (iii) of the authority vested with the aforesaid persons to make such a request on behalf of Sri Lanka?

      (c) Will he also inform this House —

      (i) whether any authority is vested with the Australian Government to send Australian Judges for judicial matters without an invitation from the Sri Lankan Government; and

      (ii) whether the Sri Lankan Government is intending to invite foreign judges to conduct the judicial matters of the proposed court to investigate war crimes?

      (d) If not, why?
