      Hon.Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena,— To ask the Minister of Petroleum Resources Development,—

      (a) Will he accept that the Crude Oil prices have come down to the lowest in the world market in these days?

      (b) Will he admit that with the present lowest price of the Crude Oil, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation can supply a Diesel litre at Rs. 31/= and a Petrol litre at Rs. 52/= to the consumers with a reasonable profit margin?

      (c) Will he inform this House—

      (i) the date on which the government going to reduce the prices of Diesel and Petrol in compliance with the promise given  during the recent election period; and

      (ii) the anticipated reduction of the prices in terms of this ever lowest prices of Crude Oil?

      (d) If not, why?
