Hon. (Mrs.) Hirunika Premachandra,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that students are subjected to various discriminations and physical and mental harassments by some principals and teachers of Provincial Council Schools?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately as per each province of the number of male and female students who were thus subjected to mental and physical harassments; and
(ii) whether action will be taken to steer clear of mental and physical harassments and to take a certain step regarding their disciplined behavior having informed and consulted the Chief Minister of Provincial Councils?
(c) If not, why?
