      Hon. Prasanna Ranatunga,— To ask the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare,—

      (a) Will he inform this House—

      (i) of the number of Samurdhi beneficiaries as at 08.01.2015; and

      (ii) of the expenditure borne to provide the allowances for the aforesaid Samurdhi beneficiaries?

      (b) Will he also inform this House—

      (i) of the number of Samurdhi beneficiaries as at 30.04.2016; and

      (ii) of the expenditure borne by the government to provide the allowances for the aforesaid Samurdhi beneficiaries?

      (c) If not, why?
