Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,—To ask the Minister of Disaster Management,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the house that belongs to Mr. Hewainnage Gunadasa at No. 196/1/1 in Hewainna, Eheliyagoda was completely destroyed due to a fire caused by lightning on 19.04.2016; and
(ii) no relief has been granted so far although Sabaragamuwa Provincial Councilor Naminda Anurapriya has informed the District Secretary of Ratnapura and Divisional Secretary of Eheliyagoda in writing in this regard;
(b) Will he inform this House of the date on which measures will be taken to provide assistance to the affected people as no assistance has been provided to them so far even after the lapse of considerable period of time since the occurrence of that disaster?
(c) If not, why?
