      Hon. M.H.M. Salman,—To ask the Minister of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms,—

      (a) Will he inform this House —

      (i) of the total extent of lands belonging to state institutions in Kaththankudy Divisional Secretariat Division in the Batticaloa district;

      (ii) whether residents of the aforesaid Divisional Secretariat Division have submitted applications for obtaining state lands on grants/ permits;

      (iii) if so, of the number of applications that have been received; and

      (iv) of the extent of lands that have been granted to those applicants on grants/licences as at present?

      If not, why?
