      Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine,—

      (a) Will he inform this House —

      (i) of the number of ‘stents’ government hospitals need annually for treating patients with narrow arteries in the heart;

      (ii) of the amount of money that is spent annually on that;

      (iii) whether necessary steps have been taken to provide heart patients with these ‘stents’ without any shortage in future; and

      (b) Will he also inform this House —

      (i) whether government expects to provide free of charge other medicines and devices required by heart patients; and

      (ii) if so, of the names of such medicines and devices?

      (c) If not, why?
