Hon. Seyed Ali Zahir Moulana,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the names of Zonal Directors of Education with their grade in the Eastern Province; and
(ii) out of the names mentioned (i) above, names of Zonal Directors of Education who are working on permanent, acting and cover-up duties basis?
(b) Is he aware that—
(i) when there are class-II officers in Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service be eligible for acting appointment, the junior officers are appointed on covering up duties; and
(ii) above (i) is contrary to the service minutes of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 1928/28 dated 21.08.2015?
(c) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether action will be taken to rectify this irregularity; and
(ii) if so, when?
(d) If not, why?
