Hon. Kanaka Herath,— To ask the Minister of Disaster Management,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of estates in Kegalle district where landslides were reported and that were landslide prone due to the adverse weather conditions experienced by the country in May 2016;
(ii) the names of estates;
(iii) the number of families who were displaced from landslides and landslide risks occurred due to heavy showers;
(iv) whether permanent houses have been provided for the displaced families;
(v) if not, the places where they are currently residing; and
(vi) a date of which the process to handover houses to the displaced families will be completed?
(b) If not, why?
