Hon. Achala Jagodage,— To ask the Minister of State Resources and Enterprise Development,—
(a) Is he aware that a block of land with an extent of 19 hectares from the Walahanduwa estate at Akmeemana in Galle district, which belongs t the State Plantation Corporation has been sold for 21 million rupees?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the approval of the Ministry of Plantation Industries and the government valuation have been obtained for this sale ;
(ii) if the selling of the aforesaid land has not been done according to the law, the names of the persons responsible for it ;
(iii) of the courses of action that will be followed regarding them ; and
(iv) if the aforesaid land has not been sold according to the law, will he take action to cancel the agreement and take over that land back to the government?
(c) If not, why?
