Hon. Ashoka Priyantha,—To ask the Minister of Disaster Management,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of villages in the North Western Province faced with acute shortage of drinking water;
(ii) the name of those villages;
(iii) whether your Ministry has initiated a programme to provide bowsers to villages affected by water shortage;
(iv) if so, the number of water bowsers provided up to now and the villages to which they were provided;
(v) the steps to be taken by the Ministry to provide water bowsers to other villages affected by water shortage?
(b) If not, why?
