Hon. Kanaka Herath,— To ask the Minister of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the extent of land that belongs to the government;
(ii) the extent of government land earmarked to be distributed for settlement; and
(iii) the number of families that have applied for lands for settlement;
in the Kegalle district and in respect of each Divisional Secretariat Division separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether steps will be taken to provide the identified lands to the families that have applied for them; and
(ii) if so, the date on which it will be done?
(c) If not, why?
