Hon. Kanaka Herath,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration & Management and Law & Order,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that a large number of graduates are awaiting jobs in Sri Lanka at present;
(ii) of the number of graduates awaiting jobs in Sri Lanka at present;
(iii) if so, whether the government has arranged a programme to provide jobs to them;
(iv) whether the government would make arrangements to provide jobs to all unemployed graduates;
(v) if not, the number of graduates, the government expects to provide jobs to; and
(vi) the criteria to be adopted to make such selections?
(b) Will he also inform this House the time, the government plans to solve this pressing issue of the country expeditiously?
(c) If not, why?
