      Hon. Kanaka Herath,— To ask the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources & Disaster Management,—

      (a) Will he inform this House —

      (i) whether a reservoir will be built in the Holombuwa area of the Galigamuwa electorate;

      (ii) of the number of ancient stupa, vihara and places of worship with historic significance that will be submerged in the waters of the said reservoir including Kotawehera of Dedigama and rock cave temple of Sthripura;

      (iii) of the number and the names of villages of the Galigamuwa and Dedigama electorates that will be submerged in the waters of the said reservoir;

      (iv) of the number of families that will lose their lands in the aforesaid villages;

      (v) whether there is a programme to divert water to Ma-Oya by a tunnel from Holombuwa;

      (vi) whether he admits that the construction of a reservoir in an area like the aforesaid area which is not prone to any natural disaster, will have immense detrimental effects on the people of the said area?

      (b) If not, why?
