      Hon. Douglas Devananda,—To ask the Minister of Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs,—

      (a) Is he aware that—

      (i) about 270 families in five villages named Puduvilankulam, Pootkulam, Kunjukulam, Mannakulam and Kollar Puliyankulam in the Mankulam Grama Niladhari Division in Nedunkerni Divisional Secretariat Division in Vavuniya have been resettled in 2010;

      (ii) these villages are bordered to  Mullative and Vavuniya districts;

      (iii) these people have faced severe hardships due to the lack of  basic facilities from the day they were resettled;

      (iv) these people have faced various difficulties due to the non- existence of access roads to the A9 road and unavailability of  guarded level crossings for the roads that run across the railway tracks in the village?

      (b) Will he inform this House—

      (i) whether steps will be taken to provide basic facilities to those villages;

      (ii) if so, the date on which those facilities will be given?
