A special Public Outreach program organized by the Public Outreach Division of the Communications Department of the Parliament, was recently (May 08) held with the aim of empowering women in the country to increase women’s participation in future national politics.
Presentations were delivered on the journey of women in politics, regional politics and Parliament, legislative process of parliament, role of a woman parliamentarian, Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus etc.
Several women leaders engaged in regional politics, youth community led by social activists participated in this program and they were given the opportunity to engage in open dialogue with the women members of the Parliament and to visit the Parliament.
