Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) separately, as per each year from year 2015 to date, the amount of rewards granted to motivate the officers who come forward to combat the crimes in the country;
(ii) the number of the officers who have been paid the aforesaid rewards to date;
(iii) whether a criterion which should be followed in the payment of allowances, is available;
(iv) if so, whether aforesaid criterion will be tabled;
(v) whether measures will be taken to increase the value of the rewards and the allowances paid to the aforesaid officers who dedicate their lives; and
(vi) if so, whether the details of such time periods and the mechanisms will be tabled?
(b) If not, why?
