Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the types of illnesses that are covered under the “Suraksha” Insurance Scheme that has been implemented for school children;
(ii) separately on per illness basis, of the number of school children that were reported to have contracted those illnesses during the last five years;
(iii) of the date from which the aforesaid insurance scheme has been in effect;
(iv) of the total number of school children who have received the benefits of that insurance scheme to date; and
(v) separately, of the name, the school and the grade of each of those students, the type of illnesses they had contracted and the amount of insurance money paid to each of those children?
(b) If not, why?
