      Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,— To ask the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development,—

      (a) Will he inform this House—

      (i) whether the loan facility of Rs. 40,000/- that had been granted to low income earners to get the electricity supply and to pay the loan installment together with the monthly electricity bill is still being implemented;

      (ii) if so, when wiring a house in granting that loan, whether a sum of about Rs. 21,000/- is charged for installing 05 electric bulbs, 01 plug point and the distribution board; and

      (iii) if so, how greater is this amount as against the market price?

      (b) If not, why?
