Hon. Anura Priyadharshana Yapa,— To ask the Minister of Primary Industries and Social Empowerment,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) the amount of pepper exported to India from Sri Lanka during the period from the year 2010 up to the year 2018, separately;
(ii) the official who has been vested with authority to issue licences for exporting pepper to India;
(iii) whether pepper is imported to Sri Lanka; and
(iv) if so , the name of the official who granted licences to import pepper along with the names of importers?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the annual pepper production in Sri Lanka; and
(ii) the maximum price of pepper in the world market in each year during the period from the year 2010 up to the year 2018, separately?
(c) If not, why?
