Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,—To ask the Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether a plan of action is implemented by the Department of National Archives to conserve films;
(ii) the number of films that have been conserved according to that;
(iii) whether the officers and the employees of that section are provided with foreign training relating to conservation of films;
(iv) if so, the institutions to which the persons have been referred for foreign training; and
(v) the number of persons who have been provided with foreign training recently?
(b) If not, why?
