Hon. Sanath Nishantha Perera,— To ask the Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number officers of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service employed in the Department of Immigration and Emigration;
(ii) of the number of vacancies in the posts of the Department, if there are any;
(iii) of the grade in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service to which the position of the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration belong;
(iv) of the date on which the aforesaid post has become vacant, if it has so happened;
(v) whether it is accepted the fact that a direct impact on the security condition of the country owing to the security risk prevailing in the country at the moment as steps have not been taken to fill the said position; and
(vi) if so, of the date on which the aforesaid vacancy will be filled?
(b) If not, why?
