Hon. S. M. Marikkar,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,—
(a) Is he aware that there are a considerable number of unauthorized houses in No. 101 Watte, Pothuwilkumbura, Dahampura in Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat Division?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether there are any families among those living in the aforesaid houses to whom flats have been awarded under a government housing project;
(ii) if so, of the number of such families;
(iii) whether the government has charged any money when awarding those flats to the aforesaid families;
(iv) if so, of the purpose for which the money was charged;
(v) of the methodology that was adopted in making the priority list for awarding those flats;
(vi) of the number of remaining families in that area to whom houses are yet to be awarded; and
(vii) of the date on which houses are expected to be awarded to them?
(c) If not, why?
