430/2020 Hon. Shantha Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Irrigation,—(1) (a) Will he admits that the Deduru Oya project has been implemented in the North Western Province of Sri Lanka? (b) Will he inform this House— (i) of the amount spent/being spent for the project; (ii) of the sources that provided funding for the project; (iii) of the number of families who donated lands for the project; (iv) whether an adequate compensation has been awarded to the families; (v) of the amount spent to award compensation to the families; and (vi) whether measures will be taken to award compensation to the families who are yet to receive them? (c) If not, why?
