Hon. M. Joseph Michael Perera,— To ask the Minister of Finance and Planning,—
(a) Will he admit that the four vehicles bearing numbers 65-1990, 32-7394, 32-7393 and 65-1986 that belong to the Bank of Ceylon have been given to the Ministry of Finance and Planning on rent basis for a monthly rental of Rs. 25,000/= per vehicle?
(b) Will he state—
(i) whether the relevant rentals for the aforesaid vehicles have been paid to the Bank of Ceylon by the Ministry of Finance and Planning from 09/10/2009 up to now ;
(ii) whether compensation has been paid to the Bank of Ceylon in respect of the vehicle bearing number 65-1986 that has involved in a crash ; and
(iii) if so, the amount of money that has been paid?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether action will be taken to give back the two vehicles bearing numbers 65-1990 and 32-7393 to the Bank of Ceylon ; and
(ii) if so, the date on which the two vehicles will be given back to the Bank of Ceylon?
(d) If not, why ?
