Hon. M. Joseph Michael Perera,— To ask the Minister of Finance and Planning,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether a decision has been taken to rent out the Bank of Ceylon building at York Street, which has been declared as a national heritage, to a hotel management company ;
(ii) whether the metropolitan branch and the other sections of the bank housed in the aforesaid building will be removed from it ;
(iii) whether the G.O.H. hotel that belongs to the Bank of Ceylon and housed in the Bank of Ceylon building at York Street is running at a loss ; and
(iv) the courses of action that will be taken with regard to that situation?
(b) If not, why ?
