Hon. Tissa Attanayake,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that the Agriculture Instructor of Kundasale sought the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2018 to prepare a suitable program for the production of vegetable seeds in greenhouses as a solution to the problems arising in the production of vegetable seeds due to weather changes in each cultivation season in Sri Lanka;
(ii) the action taken by now in that regard;
(iii) whether it is expected to get the involvement of the greenhouses owned by the private sector in the above programme; and
(iv) if so, the methodology adopted in getting the involvement of the aforesaid green houses in the programme mentioned above?
(b) If not , why?
