Hon. Charles Nirmalanathan,— To ask from the Minister of Agriculture,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) about 15km long agricultural road exists from Kokkuththoduwai area of Muhudubadapattu Divisional Secretariat Division in Mullaitivu District to Thenneimarawadi in Trincomalee District;
(ii) farmers cannot use that road as it is in a dilapidated condition; and
(iii) it is the only access route that farmers use to sell their harvest of the nearby paddy fields;
(b) Will he inform this House whether steps would be taken to repair that road for the benefit of the farmers?
(c) If not, why?
