Hon. Kins Nelson,— To ask the Minister of Women, Child Affairs and Social Empowerment,—
(a) Will he inform this House in Polonnaruwa District—
(i) the total number of Samurdhi beneficiaries from the year 2015 up to now;
(ii) the number of Samurdhi beneficiaries empowered in the district during the aforementioned period;
(iii) the number of Samurdhi beneficiaries who were removed from Samurdhi programme after the empowerment process; and
(iv) the number of persons who are newly eligible for Samurdhi allowance in lieu of the removed Samurdhi beneficiaries;
by each Divisional Secretariat Division, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House what measures will be taken for an expedited disbursement of Samurdhi allowance for persons mentioned in the (iv) above?
(c) If not, why?
