Hon. Thavaraja Kalai Arasan,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the approval was granted by the Director of the Technical Education Development Programme of the Ministry of Education through his letter dated 25.06.2020 for constructing a building for Technical Education at the KM/KM/ Wesley High School in Kalmunai within the Kalmunai Education Zone, financial provisions were allocated for its construction, and its construction work was commenced;
(ii) a building in the school referred to above consisting of the computer room and five classrooms was dismantled with proper approval for the purpose of constructing the building above referred to; and
(iii) the students of the school concerned now have neither a new building nor an old one for following the technology course and as a result, they have fallen into difficulty?
(b) Will he inform this House of the present status with regard to the allocation made for the construction of the above-mentioned building, of which construction work has not been completed even as at present?
(c) If not, why?
