Hon. P. Harrison,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the number of farmers who manufacture organic fertilizer on a large scale in the Anuradhapura District;
(ii) their names, addresses and telephone numbers;
(iii) the extent of land which was cultivated using only organic fertilizer during the Maha season in the year 2012 in the Anuradhapura District along with the names of the farmers who engage in cultivation activities in the aforesaid manner, in regard to each Agrarian Services Centre, separately;
(iv) whether the quality of the varieties of paddy produced using organic fertilizer is examined;
(v) if so, the places in which it is done;
(vi) whether there are places in which the varieties of paddy produced using organic fertilizer are purchased ; and
(vii) if so, the names and addresses of the aforesaid places?
(b) If not, why?
